Task Forces, Networks and Ad hoc Groups
The creation of Task Forces is subject to Board approval. Participation in Task Forces in voluntary. At least six member organisations must participate for a Task Force to be operational. They have defined objectives. A Task Force operates in principal for a maximum of two years. It will report to the Board after the first year and will deliver its results and conclusions at the end of the second year.
A Task Force might continue as a Network of experts after completing its Board approved workplan.
When the proposed workplan of a group is less than 1 year, it is often decided to establish an Ad Hoc Group instead of a Task Force. This type of group can also continue as a Network of Experts after completing is workplan.
