Measuring effectiveness and impact:

Role of performance indicators and possible consequences

 

 

This Policy Forum of TAFTIE was dedicated to national approaches on impact assessment in the area of innovation policies. The aim of the exchange was not only to learn about each other’s specific methods of impact assessment but also to discuss the potential of a common set of harmonized performance and impact assessment indicators. While European innovation policies are quite alike in structure by the top down specifications of the European Commission, the bottom up realities of national policies have led to a very heterogeneous landscape of experiences. The policy forum acted as a platform for mutual exchange of experiences and perspectives for participants from the EU Commission, from evaluation practitioners and national innovation agencies.
