Access to finance continues to be the issue of major concern to businesses and governments. Providing support for the dynamic growth of innovative enterprises, especially the young leading innovators, building their high growth is crucial for economies to stimulate both job creation and innovation. That governments play a major role in shaping the economic environment and financing R&I is beyond any doubt. Furthermore, also non-government investors, both corporate and private, support innovation and contribute to a more favorable R&I landscape. In this context, we will also look into the question of ever-changing role of government agencies and their role in financing risky and innovative projects.
The following issues are going to be discussed:
- - What’s the rationale for growth-oriented innovation financing?
- - How can governments and businesses join forces in a common effort aimed at securing jobs and growth for
Europe while addressing all the relevant societal challenges?
- - How can government bodies invest in high-risk ventures?
- - How do we define and achieve success of the high-growth innovative enterprises support schemes?
The Conference will be a great opportunity to meet experts from a variety of backgrounds ranging from innovation agencies representing almost thirty countries, public and private investors in research and innovation as well as experts from banks, different financial institutions and think tanks.
