TAFTIE is the European Association of leading national innovation agencies.
Its Members make a major contribution to strengthening Europes economic performance by supporting product-, process- and services innovation by implementing their countries national and -many times- international Research, Development and Innovation Programmes.
TAFTIE represents the views of its Members to European decision makers; the further intensification and activation of TAFTIEs cooperation with the European Commission is seen as one of its mission cornerstones.
TAFTIE is a European Forum for exchange and cooperation between its Members; it provides Members with the opportunity to give mutual support to one another and facilitate international networking and collaboration among companies and research institutes.
It organises working groups, task forces, seminars and conferences and its Members plan and perform major European RD&I projects, like in ERA Nets.
TAFTIE pools expertise and experiences in designing and implementing public innovation programmes; to this context the Association basically acts as a knowledge centre for Members governments in setting up and implementing support and stimulation Programmes.
